The University ran Employability Week between 11–17 Apr, with heaps of events and activities designed to support you to prepare for the employment opportunities ahead. Confucius Institute China Study Tour
The Confucius Institute Emerging Leaders China Study Tour offers a fantastic opportunity for students and young professionals to learn about Chinese language and culture and the modern Chinese economy through a Nanjing University language short-course and business visits. Logo Design Competition – Win a Trip to New Caledonia!
The Embassy of France is holding a competition to design a new logo to represent their Nicolas Baudin travel grant. For the lucky designer of the chosen logo, they are offering a return ticket to the beautiful island of New Caledonia and a French language immersion course offered by the CREIPAC, a renowned language school in Nouméa. Study Tips of the Week
Revision - With a few weeks of learning under your belt, now is a good time to start revising for your mid-semester exams. Only have end of semester exams? Don’t leave all your revision to SWOT VAC!
- When revising it’s important you create a revision plan and use active learning strategies to maximise what you learn.
Study Groups - Are you in any study groups? Study groups are a great way to improve motivation and deepen learning, but can be hard to organise and sustain.

Young Engineers Melbourne South is looking for dynamic and enthusiastic teachers to teach in their after-school Lego science classes. Melbourne Water Engineering Scholarship
The Melbourne Water Engineering Scholarship supports excellence in emerging engineers. They are inviting engineering students undertaking their final year of study in either their undergraduate or postgraduate degree to apply for a scholarship of $5000. Recipients of the scholarship will be eligible for a further $1500 upon completion of their nominated degree. Commonwealth Parliamentary Internships – Australian National Internships Program (ANU)
This internship combines the unique experiences of a work placement in the Commonwealth Parliament of Australia, with a focused research project supported by a course on applied policy research. Interns will be based in the Commonwealth Parliament for a fortnight during parliamentary sitting weeks in Aug to Oct, where they will develop a policy research project and have the opportunity to engage with a range of activities that shape national policy-making. - Spend two weeks at the heart of national policy-making in the Commonwealth Parliament in

Science Gallery Melbourne is looking for young and curious people to join Sci Curious – an advisory group that will help inform and shape the future of our exhibitions, public events and programs. Professor James McCaw was recently featured on ABC Radio National discussing the importance of mathematical modelling of infectious diseases. Quantum boost for medical imaging
Professor Lloyd Hollenberg and team discuss the future of medical imaging. Physicists have demonstrated how, using light, a diamond layer and quantum mechanics, they could potentially “light up” our molecular insides for more powerful MRIs. Read more here.
