Alcohol and Other Drug Services - tenders open

Tenders are invited from organisations keen to address one or more of the following priority areas in the South Eastern Melbourne PHN catchment:

  • Reduce adolescent use of alcohol within the LGAs of Bayside, Cardinia and Mornington Peninsula
  • Improve service access to AOD treatment options and drug use in the cities of Port Phillip and Greater Dandenong
  • Improve the system response for at risk populations involved in illicit drug use and addressing Hepatitis C rates in the cities of Port Phillip, Greater Dandenong and Frankston
  • Provide early intervention and diversion services for young people relating to onging substance abuse across the SEMPHN catchment.

Timeframe for the tender process:

Tender opens 21 November 2016
Closing date for requests for further information
 
2pm, 30 November 2016
Closing date for tender submission  3pm, 12 December 2016
Evaluation of tenders 15 December 2016
Interviews with shortlisted applicants 21 December 2016
All tenderers advised on tender outcome 23 December 2016
Contract commencement 1 February 2017
Contract completion 31 January 2018

More tenders, grants and RFPs coming soon

More tenders, grants and Request For Proposals (RFPs) will be released in the coming weeks in the following areas:

  • Mental Health Lead Site Activities - Low Intensity (to appropriately support people at risk of mild mental illness)
  • Childhood Immunisation
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Post Acute Care Management

The Mental Health Stepped Model of Care will also be released very shortly, with commissioning to take place early in 2017.

After-Hours - grants awarded

Five organisations have been awarded funding through the second round of After-Hours grants.

The grants, which are between $30,000 and $100,000 (total funding $450,000), are to develop and implement initiatives to improve After-Hours primary care services and/or reduce avoidable After-Hours demand on both GPs and hospital emergency departments.

An independent panel chose the successful applicants from around 20 organisations.

The successful organisations are:

  • Peninsula Health
  • Genesis Medical Centre
  • First Health Medical Centre
  • Hero HQ
  • South East Palliative Care
