Kia ora!

We hope that you were able to successfully navigate the impacts of this most recent weather event. If we can help in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are amping up the 'Our Place' awareness activity off the back of yet more negative national headlines around visiting Hauraki Coromandel.

Winter is coming... and so it's the perfect time to remind New Zealanders why Hauraki Coromandel is good for your soul.

In 2024, in the wake of the storms we launched The Coromandel Cure, a research-backed prescription for anyone needing relief from the stresses of a busy life. We’re thrilled to be relaunching The Coromandel Cure Campaign this winter, running May – August 2026.

Building on the success of our previous winter wellness activity, this year’s Coromandel Cure campaign continues to align perfectly with our 'GOOD FOR YOUR SOUL' positioning. Last campaign, we highlighted the restorative power of the region, from slow coastal walks and forest bathing to seasonal cuisine and stargazing, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. This winter, we aim to take it further, showcasing the full range of experiences that help visitors relax, reconnect, and recharge. From wellness retreats and local flavours to immersive nature adventures and dark-sky experiences, the campaign will celebrate everything that makes Hauraki Coromandel a destination that genuinely nourishes body, mind, and soul.

The Coromandel Cure winter campaign will be our flagship campaign for the year, supported by significant investment and delivered through a fully integrated, multi-channel approach. Activity will span digital, print, and out-of-home (OOH) placements, ensuring strong visibility and reach across our key drive markets of Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty, while also extending into Wellington and the Manawatū-Whanganui region. From targeted digital and social campaigns to high-impact billboards and print features, this coordinated approach is designed to keep Hauraki Coromandel front of mind and encourage visitation throughout winter and into spring.
