With 2018 getting into full swing, our first Defence Week for the year takes a look at RAAF Introductory Fighter Course simulation training and developments in the counter UAS, RAN hydrography and space domains.

As we went to press, Lockheed Martin Australia has inked the $700 million contract as Future Submarine Combat System Integrator which will cover work to 2022. The company was first announced as CSI in September 2016.

Finally, a reminder of the forthcoming ADM Congress 2018 on February 14. Minister Pyne will be attending welcoming drinks on the evening preceding the event at the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra, with a full speakers program sure to be engaging.

Wishing you an enjoyable Australia Day long weekend,
