How can we help you?![]() GUY's right of way team is ready and able to help you navigate the land acquisition process, facilitating a smooth project. Land acquisition is a key element of many infrastructure projects, whether for a permanent or temporary easement or for the full acquisition of a piece of property. GUY's land acquisition team specializes in facilitating the negotiation process. But when do negotiations began? With THE WRITTEN OFFER. Once an agency approves an offer of just compensation, GUY agents deliver the offer to the property owner or the owner's designated representative, thus beginning the negotiation process. All owners of the property with known addresses are contacted unless they collectively have designated one person to represent their interests. Whenever possible, offers are delivered in person; otherwise, the offer will be mailed and followed up by a personal visit or phone call. Even during the COVID-19 quarantine period, GUY right of way agents continued to meet landowners and mail offers. During these meetings, the GUY agent discusses the agency’s offer, including the basis for the offer of just compensation and the agency’s acquisition policies and procedures.
