Plukka Investor update - July 2016

Dear Plukka Investors,

The summer months of June and July have brought much change to Plukka. With a refined strategy announced late June and a packed marketing calendar in the USA in July, the Plukka brand name has been gaining strength and momentum world wide. Additionally, PLUKKA is delighted to have announced USD ~$550K in revenue in the second quarter of this calendar year, despite reducing costs and resources.

A Strong Last Quarter

Thanks to very successful trunk shows in Hong Kong and Taiwan, sales revenue for the last quarter ended June 30th was US$550K. Other good news included the renegotiation of our lease at Burlington Arcade so that the rent and outgoings are now only nominal.

Appointment of COO

Plukka appointed Ellen Chuang Chief Operating Officer, effective 1 June 2016. Ellen was COO of City Swish, an on-demand beauty services business based in London which achieved 20%+ plus monthly growth over two years. Prior to CitySwish, Ellen served as the COO for educational start up, Enternships, based in London, led a team of 100 plus staff as the Head of Management Information at British Gas, and advised a range of multi-national clients during her time at Accenture. Ellen has an MBA from INSEAD (France).

Sponsorship of Watermill Center Summer Benefit

Plukka was selected as the lead sponsor of the Annual Watermill Center Summer Benefit, the most prestigious event of the New York social and cultural summer calendar, resulting in coverage in the Wall Street Journal and Vogue, among other publications, and sales of our jewelry to luminaries such as Anne Hearst and Carola Jain.

Launch of Bridal Jewelry

Plukka launched curated collection pages of bridal jewellery online, with those products also available in stores, to address the large and well-established market for bridal and wedding jewelry, especially in the U.S. market.
