What a year.....Great to cap it off with a boat cruise on Sydney Harbour and catch up with everyone. It was actually quite a challenge to organise with the hurdles that COVID presents and hats off to Lisa (once again) for making it happen. Congratulations again to our award winners:
I have been fortunate to get on site and attend some of our rigging works. I am reminded on each visit the fantastic people we have in Reds. We do get a great deal of complements from clients and from our suppliers too about Reds raising the bar compared to our peers. Well done to everyone in the Reds Global team to being a part of this great business and continually striving for improvement. Rigging works completed recently include:
We have a new project for Morris Property Group in Canberra commencing in January called "One City Hill" which will be a two crane project consisting of a CTL430 and our new RTL325 (on the water now). We have been awarded a project for FDC at Penrith and we are close on several others. I hope everyone gets a well earned rest over the Christmas break, recharge, turn our backs to 2020 and bring on 2021. Please keep safe and healthy over the break. Take care, Damien. Castle - Thank you Matt Parata for capturing this great picture with Adam Blair. HEALTH AND SAFETY Hi All, Well wasn’t that an interesting year? Fires, smoke, rain, and a global pandemic for good measure. At least the Christmas holiday season is here again, and it really is one of the happiest times of the year. Unfortunately, it is also the time where people are most likely to bring harm to themselves through preventable accidents. While you enjoy the precious moments with friends and family, that this season brings, I ask everybody to keep a proper focus on safety, both at the workplace and at home. Stay mindful of the potential hazards and dangers that can bring unwanted tragedy to our lives. As we celebrate, let’s remain diligent in our efforts to protect the safety and health of all. It’s quite easy to lose focus on matters that may seem routine when so much is going on. During times like this, our thoughts are frequently elsewhere, rather than remaining on the important, and often high risk duties you may be performing. Remember, the workplace can be a complex place, so make sure you think before you act. Try to maintain your focus on safety by taking a minute to think about the task at hand. Give proper attention to safety during this time, and let’s make sure everybody goes safely home to enjoy the holidays. In addition, in anticipation of your Christmas celebrations at home, please ensure you have prepared risk assessments, safe work method statements, emergency procedures, competency based training for all presents, and guest induction packages… Just joking! Have a wonderful Christmas everyone at Reds Global, and I look forward to sharing a successful and safe 2021 with you all. Cheers Mitch Loftus Lane - Thank you Jason Borg for sharing your beautiful photo with us. BIG THANKS Such a kind and thoughtful email sent to Jason from Chris regarding our Reds Global team. Thank you WEEKLY PAPERWORK Here we are, at the end of another year. I'm sure we can all agree it's a year we are happy to put behind us. It's been a tough year for most. I always try to look at life believing our glasses are always half full. We have so much to be grateful for and though some days feel harder than others, the sun will always rise the next day, you will always come across a kind person but most of all, there is always someone out there, that loves you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you all, be safe and enjoy your break. Take care, Lisa MOVEMBER 2020

WELCOME JAMES TO THE TEAM Firstly I'd like to thank all the members of the Reds Global team I've met for making me feel welcome and assisting me with settling in. Everyone has been amazing. For those who haven't met me I'm James or Jimmy as my mates call me, the newly appointed project manager joining the operations team at Reds Global. A little about me, I've recently moved over from the UK and have worked with cranes for over twenty years in various roles. My last employer was a large tower crane company with which I had over 15 years service, starting as a tower crane operator then moving onto crane co -ordinator, operator allocator and operations manager. My aim is to continually improve and always open to new suggestions so that works can be carried out as safely and efficiently as possible for all concerned. So far from what I've witnessed at Reds Global, the team are very professional with a keen eye for detail, great work ethic and camaraderie which is fantastic to see and now be part of. I'm very thankful to be here to build new relationships working with you guys and learn more about tower cranes Aussie style! Best wishes to you all. Jimmy FORTH QUARTER - BIRTHDAY WISHES Sending Birthday wishes to everyone who celebrated their Birthday during the 4th quarter of the year, Happy Birthday to you, we trust it was a terrific day and the year ahead will be kind to you! Picture below:- Adam Steele, Charles Dodt and Ryan Hayes. R U OK Its been a tough year for most, and heading into the festive season there will be a lot of cheer, but remember, some people take strain. Life hasn't been easy for everyone, making a call, sending a text message or dropping in to say hi, costs nothing, letting someone know you care, means the world to the person who is struggling. Don't be a stranger over the holiday's, be a friend. Take the time to ask the people around you, R U OK? HEALTH AND WELLNESS HEALTHY LIVING - Do You Have Eating Addiction? Binge eaters gorge in the late afternoon or just before going to sleep and will go through an entire supersized chocolate bar, family-sized macaroni and cheese dinner, chicken pot pie or carton of ice cream. People overeat because their blood sugar levels demand quick fixes of sugar and refined carbs. Carbohydrates are broken down by our bodies into glucose or blood sugar, which causes the release of insulin. This hormone moves blood sugar out of the bloodstream and into cells for energy; the excess is stored as fat. It is these swings in blood sugar levels, from the consumption of carbohydrates (often eaten for quick energy), that cause people to feel tired after meals, typically noticed after lunch. Eating larger amounts of carbohydrates causes a flood of insulin, which clears them quickly out of the bloodstream (usually storing as fat) and causing hunger even though food was just eaten. Also, most people consume so many carbohydrates that they are “carbohydrate intolerant” or “insulin resistant.” With these individuals, the body has been so saturated with carbohydrates and the body’s insulin so overworked, that when more is produced, it almost entirely shuttles the blood sugar to stored fat. Although a common condition with many people, it is these types of blood sugar instabilities that cause binging, craving and obesity. BABY ON BOARD Christmas came early!!
