Guide to UK data protection law changes

Data protection law in the UK is changing, a guide to these important changes, aimed at optical practices, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and employees has been published by the Optical Confederation.

It clearly explains what they need to do when the changes come into effect on Friday 25 May.

Some of the important details of the new rules are not clear yet. As a Bill is still going through the UK Parliament and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has not completed its own guidance some of the full changes have not been finalised. The Confederation will publish updated detailed guidance when the rules are confirmed.
