Social media support: Why attempt social marketing alone?

Think you do not need social media support to assist in your marketing strategy? Maybe you are right. Perhaps you are especially skillful and tech savvy. But is it worth running the risk that not using social media support backfires on you? Isn’t it for the best to use every possible advantage at your disposal? Consider the pros and cons before making a key business decision.

Think of your own work experience

As a real estate agent, you are very aware of the buyers and sellers who try to navigate the real estate process without a representing agent. Some individuals can pull this off because they naturally possess the negotiation skills and intelligence to learn the nuances of real estate quickly. However, these people are a very small minority. It is more likely that the person who goes without an agent only undermines the sale. It can cost the inexperienced “agent” to not get the money their property is worth, and they increase the likelihood that issues will occur in the real estate transaction process.

Going without social media support is very similar to not hiring an agent. It can be done, and sometimes this decision can save money not spent on marketing efforts. However, this decision more often than not leads to unsatisfactory results. The social media marketing effort is usually less professional and visually attractive, leading to less engagement and less lead generation. In the long term, it is more cost effective and time saving to hire experienced social media support to assist your efforts. This support can bring greater fan engagement, better targeted advertising and followers that are relevant to your target audience. Investing in social media support will increase your following and increase your long term revenues.

The choice is yours

As a real estate professional, you have more daily to-dos to manage than many people can imagine. You must mediate between parties, stay up-to-date on government policies and regulations, and all the duties a business owner must contend with. With all these hats you must wear, why take on one more? Consider using experienced social media support through full service programs such as TurnKey Suite or use automated content posting services such as Page Engage. These enable you to have the best social media profile possible, and increase your chances of overall business success!

Quote of the Week

“There have been few things in my life which have had a more genial effect on my mind than the possession of a piece of land.”

Facebook redesigning pages

In the coming weeks, you may notice your Facebook pages will look a little different. That's because the network has announced a new appearance for both Page visitors and Page admins. The new look is what Facebook is calling a more "streamlined" look.

While this may take some getting used to, this redesign is actually great news for real estate agents! The use design will increase the visibility of business tabs, such as your IDX Home Search or Dream Sweeps additions. This will help agents increase fan engagment and potential lead generation!

Tip: Keep posting those photos

Facebook's latest News Feed algorithm, EdgeRank, has changed the way the social network ranks your content. This determines the order of posts visible on the News Feed, as well as the scale of the audience that the message is presented to.

Your real estate brand will ultimately be judged by your ability to engage your content. The simplest measure to gain a higher Edge value is through the posting of photos.

Don't have the time to continously upload great photos to your business page? Consider having engaging content posted for you!
