This year, we will be restarting the Design Your Future series which will be held monthly to help you throughout your degree. Hosted by the Professions Support Hub, we'll bring you crucial study tips, how to excel in your degree, how to get the best internship for your career, key tips & insights from academics, future research options, how to best prep for exams and much more. All will be held at select Wednesdays at lunchtime from 12:00-1:00pm both in-person and on Zoom. Don't miss the first of the series Spice Up Your Electives on Wed, 24 March 12:00-1:00pm! Have you seen this new Accounting Postgraduate elective?ACCTING 7103 Advanced Management Accounting and Control This course exposes students to a range of accounting and management control techniques and their effects on organizational design and performance. Successful completion of this course provides additional skill-sets to students for resolving several real world governance problems. To enrol, please make sure that you have already finished ACCTING 7019 and ACCTING 7014. Attention all Undergraduate Business StudentsWe've created a handy guide for all undergraduate Business students who have commenced their degree prior to 2021 titled the Undergraduate Business Degrees Changes & Transition Guide. There have been a number of changes implemented for our UG Business courses from 2021 onwards which may impact your study plan. Reminder of Academic Support availableAs you continue in your degree, we highly encourage you to take advantage of the academic support available to you. Below are a list of key resources that will help. Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS): Starting in Week 2, PASS is suited for first-year undergraduate students to help and run by experienced students who have excelled in the most difficult courses. Accounting, Economics & Finance Drop-In Centres: run in-person and virtually, these short 10 minute sessions are for any and all questions about Accounting, Economics or Finance. These will commence in Week 3 (mid March) and the schedule will be released soon. Maths Learning Centre (MLC): is to help you learn and use mathematics and mathematical skills in order to succeed at university. The Writing Centre: will help you no matter your skill level to develop as writers through in-person, one-on-one consultations. Open Monday-Friday 10:00am-4:00pm. The English Language Centre (ELC): is part of the University of Adelaide and offers a range of General and Academic English language programs, study tour programs and English teacher training services (TESOL) for international students and visiting groups. Course Substitution in Recognition of Cognate Studies ApplicationIf you have a cognate undergraduate degree you may apply for course substitution to complete additional electives in lieu of core courses to the equivalent unit value. Open only to commencing Postgraduate students in the Business School programs from 2021 and onwards with relevant Undergraduate degree from the University of Adelaide or any Australian university. Please check your eligibility before submitting an application. The closing date for Semester 1 2021 applications will be 5:00pm Wednesday, 10 March 2021.
