Tiger Woods has spent 545 weeks as golf’s world No 1. - He has a record-breaking 4,357 winners as of April 22 (including nine on the Flat). - He was voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2010, the first time an individual from racing had been recognised in this way. - He has won practically every major race, including 2 Cheltenham Gold Cups, 3 Champion Hurdles and the Grand National in 2010 at his 15th attempt. Sports industry news round-upTennis As if we needed another reason to be proud of our very own Andy Murray he is now guaranteed to end the year as the world number one. He completed a 24-match winning streak by beating Djokovic in straight sets to win his first ATP World Tour Finals title. Want to see him at Wimbledon 2017? Rugby Union England cruised to a comfortable victory over Fiji 58-15 at Twickenham on the weekend, scoring nine tries. Next up is Argentina - who suffered a defeat to Scotland who scored a late penalty. Elsewhere, Wales beat Japan 33-30 and Ireland lost to New Zealand 21-9 in a feisty affair. Boxing Andrew Ward beat Sergey Kovalev with a controversial points decision to claim the Russian’s IBF, WBA and WBO light-heavyweight titles. Mike Tindall – Branch Opening With all big occasions, you need big sporting stars! Rugby legend Mike Tindall, officially opened the new Travis Perkins' branch in Cheltenham following a site move.
