  1. NEW cold chain toolkit for NSW immunisation providers - NSW Health has developed a Cold Chain Toolkit and Safe Vaccine Storage Checklist to support immunisation providers with their cold chain management. 
  2.  NEW National Vaccine Storage Guidelines ‘Strive for 5’, 3rd edition released  -  The updated guidelines were released in June 2019. We have included the key amendments and updated appendices. 
  3. Meningococcal vaccine 2019 recommendations  - NCIRS have developed a table outlining vaccine recommendations by age and risk group. 
  4. Antenatal vaccination recommendations - Reminder of update to antenatal vaccination recommendations.   
  5. Immunising children before their due date  - Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances where a child needs to be vaccinated before their due date. We outline some helpful resources for these cases. 
  6. Changes to accessing the AIR - Helpful information sheets to guide you through accessing the AIR as a medical practice, or as a medical practitioner.
  7. Reminder letters for children and adolescents overdue for vaccination   - Additional reminder letters are being sent out for children and adolescents overdue for vaccination. Anticipate an increase in patients seeking assistance regarding potentially overdue vaccinations. 
  8. Avoiding shoulder injury related to vaccine administration  - Resources to help avoid SIRVA. 
  9. Vaccines from community pharmacy  - NCIRS have developed a useful guide to what vaccinations are available in community pharmacy.
