Auto-Related Auction August 28!
Hi, I’m Dian Dingle and I have been a member of Susquehanna Region since 1973. I have decided to relocate since my husband, Earnie (a past RE of the Region) died a few years ago. In order to accomplish that, I need to sell a large amount of our racing “memorabilia” collected over the years that I simply cannot take with me.
There will be a live auction at my home, 2 Pine Street, Dillsburg, PA on August 28 beginning at 8AM. You can find pictures of the items offered, which include a large collection of rare and out of print hard bound auto racing books, 1/12th and 1/20th scale Formula One car plastic models (most still unopened in the box) and various Ezra Brooks and Jim Beam Indy car bottles (sorry they’re empty).
If you’re looking for a home with ample garage space for your race cars, look no further.

August Regional Meeting – NEW Location!
August 26, 2021 - at 7:00pm
WE’RE AT ROADHOUSE CAFÉ BAR & GRILL
Our next meeting will be held on the second floor at Roadhouse Café Bar & Grill, located at 1031 Eisenhower Blvd, Harrisburg, PA 17111. All members are encouraged to attend. Come an hour early for dinner (and a drink) with other members.
The staff has reserved the back room for us from 5:30pm until they close. Please make sure you tell them you’re with the SCCA group, and they will get you seated with us. We look forward to seeing you!

2021 RallyCross Nationals Registration Set to Open
AUG 10, 2021 — SCCA’s national championship season is rapidly approaching, and that includes the 2021 RallyCross Nationals set to take place October 15-17 at Ross County Fairgrounds in Chillicothe, Ohio. Registration for that event will be conducted online in a “tiered” manner this year with the process beginning August 18 for a select set of competitors. The event will be capped at 125 entries.
Runoffs Sweepstakes Gets Sweeter
AUG 16, 2021 — It’s not too late to purchase tickets for the SCCA Foundation sweepstakes, help out a great cause, and win a VIP trip to the 2021 SCCA National Championship Runoffs at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, October 1–3.
Even better, the VIP activities continue to grow. The list for the event already includes $2500 in travel expenses and personal access to the event, including the chance to be on the start stand for the green flag of a race.

SportsCar Feature: How To Win Solo Nationals
AUG 20, 2021 — “It takes a village,” one multi-time National Champion quipped to a passing competitor, after watching his friends’ run excluded from Tire Rack Solo National Championships results because in the madness of pre-run grid, they’d forgotten to peel the “L” decal off one side of the car. Something as simple as a sticker oversight is not unheard of, especially considering that the awe-inspiring size of the Solo National Championships can overwhelm even the most experienced of competitors. Often it does take a village to negotiate this championship event correctly. Luckily, those many with ample Solo Nationals experience are willing to offer pointers in order to set you on the right track for Solo Nationals success.
Charting a Course for RoadRally Development in Your Region
AUG 19, 2021 — Are you looking to start a RoadRally program in your Region? Do you already hold the occasional Trek or Social Rally and are considering dialing it up a notch with additional and/or more challenging events? Perhaps you already conduct a few GTA rallies each year, but are intrigued by the possibility of adding TSD events to the mix, enabled by new GPS-based timing and scoring apps?
