Click here Review Baselworld 2017Big focus on pure watchmaking artistryThe new location at Baselworld and the LES ATELIERS concept in Hall 1.2 turned out to be a success for Moritz Grossmann. Our team was delighted with increased visitorship and the media's considerable interest in the manufacture's debuts. The ATUM Date and the TEFNUT Twist were among the special eyecatchers. With the development of a jumping date display as well as of the novel strap winder, Grossmann's watchmakers presented two genuine coups in 2017. Visitors who had the opportunity to see the ATUM Enamel on the spot in Basel were captivated by the unique enamel dial. Designed by Singapore-based Michael Koh, the TEFNUT Sleeping Beauty garnered international acclaim. We would like to thank all visitors for their interest and look forward to the next encounter, at the latest in Basel in 2018. Exclusive: SkyLife BENU TourbillonAt a height of 105 metres, on the 31st floor of the Baselworld tower, RUAG Aviation and Moritz Grossmann presented the SkyLife BENU Tourbillon. At events and online, customers were asked to choose one of five different design options. The winner, the final version of the SkyLife BENU Tourbillon in midnight blue, is reserved exclusively for aircraft owners. The luxurious top-tier model of the Moritz Grossmann manufacture is a milestone in artisanship. With its flying Grossmann three-minute tourbillon and the patented hair-brush stop seconds mechanism, it reflects the heritage of the finest precision timekeeping instruments. Moritz Grossmann is raffling off an ATUM Pure M among the participants as a thank-you gesture. In May 2017, within the scope of EBACE in Geneva, RUAG Aviation will announce the lucky winner. Limited: BENU Power Reserve "Black/Yellow"Moritz Grossmann is emphasising its homeland roots with commitments to regional events, most recently with SG Dynamo Dresden. For the kick-off, the football club and the manufacture are presenting the "Black/Yellow" BENU Power Reserve in a limited edition of 11 watches. Its special features include the black/yellow power-reserve indicator, the stylised "D" logo, the custom-made yellow hands, and the yellow contrast stitching of the black alligator leather strap. The white-gold case with a display back houses the manufacture calibre 100.2. Invitation to the 7th Dresden Golf WeekTogether with Leicht Jewellers, Moritz Grossmann is supporting the 7th Dresden Golf Week as a sponsor and event partner. Given its many highlights, this high-end sports and culture event deserves to be called a fusion of the arts. All golf enthusiasts and friends of the city of Dresden are cordially invited to share quality time with us from 6 to 12 August 2017. Design competition with Superyacht CharitiesIt was with verve and gusto that Moritz Grossmann accepted an invitation by Superyacht Charities to mutually organise a design competition. Three prominent British superyacht design firms were asked to propose a maritime style approach for three separate watch models of the Moritz Grossmann manufacture. At the Superyacht Charities Ball 2017 in Southampton, 500 guests spent liberally on vote cards to participate in the ballot. The winner was the draft by ThirtyC Designer Rob Armstrong and his Horizon design line. As the shared element of the three watch models, Rob Armstrong selected the horizon, the all-embracing constant of the oceans. Moritz Grossmann CEO Christine Hutter: "We were very impressed and thrilled with all three variations. I feel privileged to support the great cause of Superyacht Charities and look forward to melding our tradition of pure watchmaking artistry with this high-calibre design line from the realm of superyachts." For each Horizon watch sold from now on, 250 euros will be donated to the Superyacht Charities Foundation. At the SYC Ball 2017, the foundation was gifted with a total of 80,000 euros in donations, including a watch contributed by Moritz Grossmann for auction and the sale of the vote cards. The new models – the ATUM Horizon "Riviera" in rose gold, the ATUM Pure M Horizon "Alto", and the TEFNUT Pure Horizon "Azure" – are currently being crafted in the manufacture and will be presented within the scope of an exclusive event during the Monaco Yacht Show in September. Event reviews7th Singapore Yacht Show From 6 to 9 April 2017, yacht enthusiasts from all over Asia convened again at the ONE°15 Marina Club on Sentosa Island, one of Singapore's most famous locations. Accompanied by extravagant events, the superyachts of internationally leading shipyards paraded in the glamorous ambience of the Singapore Yacht Show. In between, models showed off pure watchmaking artistry from Glashütte. Interested guests were welcomed to the VIP lounge by Moritz Grossmann and admired the Baselworld 2017 debuts, especially the SkyLife BENU Tourbillon and the new Horizon yacht design line. "Making of" at Moritz Grossmann Japan The Moritz Grossmann Boutique Japan extended a standing invitation to attend a presentation of debuts from 21 to 23 April 2017. Yet again, the focus was on the ATUM Date and the innovative strap winder of the TEFNUT Twist. The TEFNUT Sleeping Beauty jewellery watch appealed especially to female visitors. At a workbench, guests had the opportunity to observe how hands are crafted manually and also to try their luck at this challenging discipline. Thus, a small exclave of the Glashütte-based manufacture highlighting Moritz Grossmann's pure watchmaking artistry was turned into a hands-on experience in Japan. Grossmann's watchmakers and the team of the boutique in Japan were delighted with the positive feedback. New retailersMoritz Grossmann welcomes these prestigious watch boutiques and jewellers to its circle of authorised retailers and looks forward to inspiring collaboration with the respective teams.
