Leinster Senior Trophy Final

Congratulations to The High School Senior 1 hockey team which defeated Mount Temple Comprehensive School to qualify for the Leinster Hockey Association Schoolboys Senior Trophy for only the fourth time in the history of the school.   They now play Newpark Comprehensive School in the final and Wesley College in the Senior Cup semi-final. They also play St Andrew's College in the Senior League semi-final.  We warmly congratulate the team on the significance of its achievements in 2017-18 and wish all members of the squad every success in future competitions.
Mr P Fitzpatrick

MUN Success

Congratulations to our Model United Nations pupils who had a very successful couple of days at the Wesley College MUN last week.  Six pupils won distinguished delegate awards.  Well done, everyone!

Leinster Schools' Rugby Final

Congratulations to The High School Transition Year rugby team which beat Wesley College again this year to reach the final of the Leinster Schools' Senior league.  We wait in anticipation for the final and wish all members of the squad every success on this occasion.

Junior Drama

Members of the Junior Drama group have been busy preparing for their next production which promises to delight and amuse when they bring it to the stage on 15 March.

Girls' Hockey

The Junior and Senior 1 Girls' hockey teams enjoyed a wonderful day of sport and fun at Newtown School in Waterford last week.

Science Club

Pupils attending Science Club on Monday spent the hour dissecting rats.  They felt that they had gained a better understanding of anatomy and physiology having had such hands-on experience.

Weather Alert

The High School remained closed on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 March due to a Status Red weather warning issued by Met Eireann.  As a result, the planned Form 1 and 2 Rugby tours to Cork and Belfast have been cancelled.  Unfortunately Saturday's Wesley College Inter-schools Music Competition has also been cancelled but we look forward to hearing The High School Orchestra perform at the Feis Ceoil on 20 March.
