Download Conference App Before Leaving Home

The 16th annual Partners in Prevention conference is a week away, and with more than 750 people already registered, this will be our largest conference to date. Online registration has closed, and the PIP conference app is live and ready to download from your mobile device. The link only works for mobile devices.

The mobile app provides easy-to-use, interactive capabilities to enhance your conference experience. The handy app gives you easy access to your personal schedule, helps you connect with other attendees and enables you to provide immediate feedback to conference organizers.

Use the app to:

  • View your personal schedule of selected sessions.
  • Complete session evaluations - use the session survey tool to share your thoughts about each session and the conference overall. Evaluations will be available exclusively through the app this year, so it's important that you download it.
  • Receive reminders and updates - keep an eye on your home screen to see important messages and upcoming events.
  • Engage and network - read more about speakers and exhibitors and share information about the conference via Twitter.
  • Find what you are looking for - use the search, filters, and floor plan to easily find sessions and exhibitors.

Go to your moblie device now to download. Installing the app now will make it easier on yourself before the conference:

Step 1: Download the app on your mobile device
Don't have iOS or Android? Skip step 1 and go straight to step 2 to verify your account and use the mobile web version of the app.

Step 2: Verify Your Account
Using the same device from step 1, click “Verify Account” to unlock all of the app's advanced features.

Please download and get familiar with the app before the first day of the conference. If you experience problems, assistance will be available at the conference. Questions? Email pipconference@dfps.state.tx.us.

Tarrant County Rolls Out Bookmobile

Fort Worth residents should be on the lookout for a new family resource on the streets of Cowtown. It’s the new Fort Worth ISD Parents as Teachers bookmobile, wrapped in teal and white colors and hitting the road for the 2016-17 school year.

As a traveling early literacy center, the bookmobile will help children prepare for kindergarten, start school at grade level and stay on track. It’s loaded with books and other educational materials and outfitted with Wi-Fi to provide parents with access to digital tools such as ReadyRosie and Vroom. Books checked out from the bookmobile can be returned to any Fort Worth ISD library.

Texas Nurse-Family Partnership Programs Share Client Videos

Two Texas Nurse-Family Partnership providers recently shared stories from program participants. Both videos help to increase awareness of the importance of early childhood and infant and maternal health in Texas.
