We look forward to hearing the delightful voices of our programs team resounding throughout the library once again! Mobile Library and Home ServicesThe Mobile Library is back on the road, continuing to operate on an adjusted timetable with a maximum of four customers on board at one time. Plus, don’t forget that if you are having trouble accessing the library we encourage your to call us on 8408 0400 to discuss home delivery options. Book GroupsOur in-house book groups are also back on deck with the Coventry Library hosting groups on the first Thursday (12:45pm) and second Wednesday (1:30pm) of the month. At the Woodside Library we host a book group on the third Tuesday of the month (1.30pm). If you are interested in joining one of these groups, or accessing our resources for your own book group (we have over 100 titles available!), please contact us on 8408 0400. Catastrophic Fire Danger DaysThe recent Cherry Gardens fire was a timely reminder that our libraries and service centres are not to be used as a 'safe place' during a fire incident. Further to this, on declared Catastrophic Fire Danger Days all of Council's offices, depots, libraries, and service centres will be closed. Know what to expect; check how Fire Danger Ratings affect different Council services. JP service - volunteer wanted! We are seeking a registered Justice of the Peace (JP) who would like to volunteer their time to assist the community fortnightly on Thursday evenings (6:30pm - 8:00pm) in Coventry Library. If you are interested, please contact Leonie on 8408 0400 to discuss this opportunity. Some quick reminders The Community Room in Stirling is now available for bookings (free to community groups and for a charge to commercial groups). COVID restrictions are in place and a COVID-Safe QR code check in is provided. To help with public safety, all of our library branches have disposable face masks available for the community free of charge. This resource is made possible thanks to SA Health and the Local Government Association. We continue to assess SA Health guidelines and will ensure that we keep you up to date with any COVID changes that may affect our service points. Please check the Council website or contact us on 8408 0400 for the most up to date information. Technology help sessions are back! |
