ASSOCIATION NEWS & EVENTS

A Note from the FMA President

Dear FMA Members,

I hope 2021 is shaping up to be a better year for you than the challenge that was 2020. I am humbled and grateful to be part of a prestigious organization that is filled with talented individuals who are not only at the top of their profession, but who are also leading the way as innovators in the ever-evolving publishing industry. This year we received record-high participation in our Charlie awards’ competition, and we are thrilled to have announced our finalists this month. In addition, we are pleased to offer a conference packed with sessions ranging from how to successfully transition from print to digital media to establishing a more robust brand and many more pertinent and timely topics.

The conference is another way to renew relationships and to make new connections with peers. I look forward to meeting many of you in Sarasota this coming July and I hope together we can build upon the already strong publishing industry that exists in the state of Florida.

See you in July!
Karla Monterrosa-Yancey
