All past students from alumni years 2009 to 2017 are warmly invited to attend the first Young Old Boys' function for 2018 at Wests Bulldogs Rugby Club from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
MT TAMBORINE LUNCH
Wednesday 9 May from 11.00am to 2.30pm
To avoid the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast, our 2018 annual luncheon instead will be held at Mt Tamborine's Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery starting from 11.00am (for a 12.00pm lunch).

On Tuesday 24 April, at the BBC ANZAC Day Commemoration Service, all students, staff and guests acknowledged the supreme sacrifice paid by 101 Old Collegians. Since the release of BBC's 'The Fallen' book in 2015, three more unknown fallen Old Boys have been added to our Honour Roll in 2018. Their names and war service are listed below.
LEST WE FORGET
WWI - Lance Corporal Arthur Charles Roe
L-Cpl AC Roe was killed in action at the notable battle for Lone Pine, Gallipoli on 6-9 August, 1915. He was aged 28 years.
L-Cpl Roe’s name is remembered with honour in the Lone Pine Cemetery (Special Memorial C, grave 60) on the Gallipoli Peninsular, Turkey and also on panel 30 in the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.
WWII - Corporal Stephen John Edward Beattie
Cpl SJE Beattie was evacuated to a military hospital as a result of complications from a recurrent melanoma. Cpl SJE Beattie died in Brisbane on 17 March 1947 as a result of War Service. Cpl SJE Beattie’s name is honoured in the Commemorative Area of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, on panel 38 and also at the Mount Thompson Crematorium, Brisbane.
WWII - Flight Sergeant Lloyd George Stanley
F/Sgt LG Stanley is one 16 Old Collegians who lost their lives while on campaign in the New Guinea area.
He is honoured both at the Bita Paka War Cemetery (Memorial Panel 35) Rabaul, PNG and also on panel 101 in the Commemorative Area of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.
On Thursday 26 April, 70 members of the College community, including Old Boys, staff as well as current and past parents, had the pleasure of listening to guest speaker, Don O'Rorke (OB 1977), who is the Executive Chairman of Consolidated Properties.
Those who attended the networking breakfast, were delighted that Don (pictured below with Headmaster, Paul Brown) made time in his busy schedule to give back to the College and share his knowledge and wisdom. Thanks Don!
ROCKHAMPTON COMMUNITY FUNCTION

BBC is coming to Beef Week in Rockhampton!
The College will also host a community function for families and friends of BBC on Wednesday 9 May from 12 noon to 2.00pm on the Walter Pierce Lawn. Complimentary fingerfood and beverages will also be served.
