If all goes to plan we will have a packed season with men’s, women’s and youth league and cup fixtures, the return of Allstars and the introduction of the new Dynamos youth programme. The ECB guidance is here and our club’s COVID specific guidance has been updated. The guidelines are similar to last time we played but there are some changes. For example, no spectators are currently allowed at any match or training session apart from 1 parent/carer for youth players. Also, only the toilets in the changing rooms at Jordan Hill may be used at the moment. Not the ones in the pavilion. All members, players, parents, carers etc need to read the club guidance documents as they contain important information to ensure we can provide a safe and organised return to cricket. Our risk assessment is here and our training and match guidance document is here. These cover Jordan Hill only and the same will follow for our other pitches. By April 12th we will be able to have limited outdoor food and drinks at Jordan Hill with match teas/lunches being “bring your own” for the time being. We hope to have the Jordan Hill pavilion fully open by May 17th. Allstars & DynamosOur Allstars (age 5-8) and our Dynamos (age 9-11) programmes are now open. Both offer exciting opportunities for those new to cricket and who want to develop their cricket skills further. Both start on 28th May at Jordan Hill on Friday evenings. Full details are available here for Allstars and here for Dynamos. Places are limited so please apply as soon as possible to book your space. Arthur Muir Director of Youth Cricket From now until any further changes we need anyone visiting/playing at Jordan Hill to scan the QR code on display around the entrance and pavilion when they arrive at Jordan Hill. You can download the NHS Test & Trace App here. A condition of the return to play is that all clubs need to have an attendance register for all activities. All adult and junior players will need to complete a registration form every time they play/train at home or away. We will be sending a link to the google form to all team captains and coaches to send on to their players, parents/carers at each activity. If you’d like to keep a note of the link for future use. It’s here. This information is held for 21 days and then deleted. CLUB NETSTraining at Jordan Hill resumes from Tuesday 6th April but there will be a booking system for net use outside the normal team schedule. Please do not use the nets without a booking. The club insurance does not cover private use and OUP have made it clear the club has to organise the use of the nets. Net use protocols are available here along with details about how to book. 2021 MembershipAll 2021 memberships are now on the club website and can be purchased here. There is a £20 reduction for each additional child sibling and we are adding a new package this year for senior players which covers a year’s subscription AND all match fees. This package gives you a discount for the whole season's league matches but is not refundable if a match is cancelled or you are unavailable. There is also another new category which offers a discount for club officials i.e. anyone who is on the club committee, who coaches a team or is a team captain. If this is you, please email secretary@oxfordcricketclub.com for the link to pay. All membership fees need to be paid by 16th April 2021.PLEASE NOTE: Membership is required to be part of the club’s liability insurance. Non-members are not covered and will therefore be unable to train or play in matches. To pay for membership please click here.VolunteersWe also need your help to support the club committee.
