WATER POLO WA GRAND FINAL WEEKEND
The City Beach Water Polo Club were well represented in the Senior and Junior Grades over the Water Polo WA Finals weekend. Congratulations to all City Beach teams who participated in the 2013/14 season

2014 AUSTRALIAN WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIPS
Under 14 (Born 200) Girls
The City Beach U/14 girls finished 13th out of 25 teams and in doing so defeated Triton to win the plate.

Under 14 (Born 2000) Boys
The City Beach U/14 Boys won the Silver Medal losing to the Melbourne Collegians 6-5 in the final. Christian Kyriakou won the MVP for the tournament, while Max Garbutt-Wilkinson, Bryce Durrant and Christian Kyriakou were selected in the All Stars "7".

Under 18 (Born 1996) Girls
City Beach was well represented in the UWA Torpedoes U/18 Girls team with seven players. The girls drew with eventual Silver Medallist Hunter Hurricanes, and lost to the Gold Medallist Sydney Northern Beaches in the plays offs to finish a well deserved seventh.

Under 18 (Born 1996) Boys
The UWA Torpedoes entered 2 boys teams into the U/18 Australian Champions with 11 City Beach boys in the Blue team who won the Silver Medal and 7 boys in the Green team that finished 14th. In an all WA Final the UWA Blue team lost to Melville 13-8.

WINTER
U/14 Program
The CBWPC will again be running the U/14 (Born 2001, 2002, 2003) Winter Training Program during Terms 2 and 3 2014. The details of the training are as follows:

Tue/Thu 4.30-6.00pm, & Sat 12.00-2.00pm
Girls (Challenge - Tue/Thu, UWA - Sat)

U/16 Program
2014 Born 1998 Australian Championships 30 September - 5 October 2014 (Hobart - boys, Canberra - girls).
The program this winter involves three Water Polo training sessions / week, 1 Game, and 2/3 Swimming sessions / week. The club coaches have strongly recommend that players aiming for selection in teams going to the 2014 Australian Championships register for the 2014 Winter Swimming Squad if they are not already in a swimming squad.
The details of the U/16 winter program is as follows:

Monday and Wednesday 4.30 - 6.00pm
Friday 6.00 - 7.30pm
Saturday 2.00 - 4.30pm (Men's club competition)

Winter Flippaball, DSC and Flippaswim
The CBWPC will be running a Winter Flippaball and DSC Program on a Sunday afternoons at Challenge Stadium commencing the week beginning Sunday 18 May 2014. This program is design for children who wish to continue to develop their aquatic and water polo skills.

UWA TORPEDOES
The UWA Torpedoes Men were defeated by the Victorian Seals in the 2014 NWPL Semi Finals 10-6, and then lost the Bronze Medal play off to Sydney University.

In what has been a development year for the UWA Girls, they finished the season in 11th place with a very young team.
