DAY TWO IN NEVADA

Marco Holds A Rally And Attends The Grand Opening Of Pawn Plaza

In his second day in Las Vegas, Marco spoke at the Christian Businessmen’s Network lunch where staff from the kitchen came out to hear him speak about the American Dream. Then he attended a happy hour at Havana Grill. Finally, along with Lt. Governor Mark Hutchison and Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman, Marco attended Rick Harrison's grand opening of the Pawn Plaza.

Later today, Marco will host a rally in Boulder City and he'll attend a LIBRE town hall meeting.

Marco stopped at Havana Grill where people were standing on chairs just to get a glimpse of him as he spoke about preserving the American Dream. As CNN reports: Far from the tourists on the Las Vegas strip, Marco Rubio breezed into the Havana Grill for Friday night happy hour with the certain lightness of a candidate on the upswing. There was a crush at the door and people standing on chairs in the dining room to try to get a glimpse of him — and though it's pretty hard to knock the Florida senator off his stump speech script, the crowd managed to do that. "They're handing out mojitos in the middle of my speech, I love it," Rubio said in slight amazement as he toggled between the fading American Dream and the need for entitlement reform. "I promise that has never happened before."

Marco also sat down with CBS Las Vegas to discuss the issues facing Nevadans.  Political analyst Steve Sebelius and reporter Patrick Walker sat down with Rubio Friday and asked him about several issues impacting Nevadans, including federal lands in Nevada.

Finally, the Miami Herald reports that at his town hall on Thursday night, outdoor seats were setup to accommodate all of the people who came out to see Marco. Thursday night in Summerlin, an upscale Vegas suburb, the extra room wasn’t enough. A few more chairs had to be accommodated by a large TV set outside the clubhouse so everyone could watch.
