The situation in Hong Kong shows no signs of easing, with a citywide strike causing widespread disruption on Monday. Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam has warned the city is on the verge of "a very dangerous situation", while Beijing is set to hold another press conference today.
Tensions are high in Jammu and Kashmir after India moved to revoke the disputed territory's special status. Anticipating unrest, thousands of tourists, pilgrims and workers in the Muslim-majority state were evacuated over the weekend, and extra troops have been deployed.
A series of bomb blasts hit Bangkok on Friday, as the city hosted an ASEAN foreign ministers' summit. Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters was among those in attendance. No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, which injured four people.
