Newsletter #5 - 2019/20 No Images? Click here We hope you've all had a lovely half term break, but are excited to be back in class with us tomorrow! We've had an eventful week ourselves and are looking forward to more excitement in the weeks to come! Please read on for some key updates... [Pictured: Team CS plus our visitors from Tring Park UK, working with The Island Foundation on Bintan this weekend] In the Spotlight... As part of our association with the fantastic Tring Park, we are thrilled to welcome 12 of their Acting students and teachers to Singapore! Read on for a closer look at the shows they will be staging for us whilst they're here and please do come along and join us in welcoming and showing them some CS family love! ❤️🎭 Coming up this week... First up, they will be performing - "Jack and the Catalysts" - this Wednesday (30 Oct) 6.30 at 15 Woking Road. Designed for 7 to 11 year olds, Jack is the first in a highly successful series of plays Tring regularly tour around the UK! Featuring catchy songs and heaps of audience participation, it explains science in a fun and engaging way! On Friday 1st November they will be performing the Play 12 Angry Men in our Black Box Theatre at Woking Road. Ideally suited for teens (iGCSE, IB & A Level students) the drama depicts a jury forced to consider a murder trial. We would strongly recommend our older students come and see it if you possibly can... On Sat they will be working with MT Workshop & Spotlight students to rehearse and stage a Cabaret. We had been aiming for a 6pm show start, HOWEVER in hindsight, we've realised we should probably screen the RUGBY WORLD CUP FINAL (at 5) so we're pushing it back a little. Please come along to soak up the exciting atmosphere and support your peers! Finally, we've managed to crowbar in a fantastic workshop with Sara - Tring Park faculty member - for students who are serious about their performing arts training, and would like to work on their triple threat skills! We've planned it to fit around your school schedules - running Monday 4 - Wednesday 6 November from 4.30 - 7pm each day! Coming up this term... Tickets are now on sale for this years' panto! We are thrilled to be performing Jack and the Beanstalk at the beautiful Victoria Theatre over the weekend of the 30 Nov & 1 Dec (don't worry, the Saturday show is timed to avoid the U2 concert 😉) Come along for some festive fun and support our fantastic pro cast, and incredible ensemble of young performers! We've just had a wonderful half term of "Spooky Stories & Magic Potions". Next up, we've got camps running 18 - 22 Nov in the East, followed by heaps at Woking Road starting 2 Dec... Reminders! Production Dates for the Diary have been published for both performance acting courses as well as our annual Dance Show. Upcoming:
