ARC celebrated 15 years of Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) grants at this year's State of the Region breakfast. The groundbreaking LCI program has invested more than $180 million in plans and transportation projects in 112 communities around the Atlanta region.

Applications are now open for ARC's  2016 LCI grants. This year’s grants will focus on the Atlanta region's Equitable Target Areas in support of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Ladders of Opportunity policy initiative. Connecting people and communities to economic and educational opportunities with safe, reliable and affordable transportation is a key goal of ARC’s Board, its Regional Economic Development Strategy and the U.S. DOT.

The 2016 LCI application deadline is December 7, and grantees will be named early in 2016. Learn more about applying for a 2016 LCI grant.
