, Michael Mesko Design, Brooklyn, New York and President of the Fellows of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA). After working in the offices of Robert Adam Architects, Allan Greenberg, Ferguson and Shamamian, and Thomas Gordon Smith, Michael formed his own design firm, focusing on residential and commercial design throughout the United States, the UK and Europe. He has taught in the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture Rome Studies Program, and has been teaching at the ICAA since 2006.
HABS students earn Honorable Mention in 2013 Charles E. Peterson Prize Honorable Mention Award
for their measured drawings of Downtown Miami’s historic Gesu Catholic Church. The (HABS) Historic American Building Survey class lead by Prof. Ricardo Lopez, The Gesu Church drawings will be added to the permanent HABS collection of measured drawings at the Library of Congress. A prize of $1,000 will be used to assist a group trip to a colloquium being hosted at Taliesen West in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is the second Peterson Prize for the University of Miami – in 2010, the student team won fourth prize for drawings of Shoreland Arcade in Downtown Miami.
