LIFE@GWN BLOG

"I Bring My Most Human Self to the Workplace."

Featuring Sally Familia, Community Coordiantor

We're revisiting some of our most popular Life@GWN blog posts from the year, including one featuring the insanely talented and creative multi-hyphenate, poet, artist, and Fellow—now Coordinator—Sally Familia. Part of Girls Write Now's magic is that our staff reflects our larger community. We are the people we serve. Sally flourishes as a podcast producer, interviewer, event facilitator, coach, and curriculum creator within our Collaboratory.

There is still time for you to support Sally’s work and all of the work we do at Girls Write Now.

FROM OUR COMMUNITY

Prompt of the Week

by Morgan Parker, Friday Night Salon Teaching Artist

When did you begin? This could be the beginning of your life, the start of a new version of you, a piece of history that shapes who you are, or anything else that feels like the beginning of you. Write about that beginning—how has it shaped you? How have you grown since?

Learn with poet and writer Morgan Parker how vulnerability through writing can give way to a deeper examination of societal issues.
