Each fall, Girls Write Now honors exceptional leaders who exemplify what we know to be true: if you can write, you can do anything. Maja Kristin is the author of the inspiring memoir, Instructions Not Included, available here. Proceeds from the book will be donated to Girls Write Now. Maja has a passion for bridging worlds, creative problem solving, and leading philanthropy. Her work includes overseeing her ESG and Impact Investments with an eye to elevating women, and a commitment to give what she earns.

Featured Girls Write Now Learning Journey

Poetry 360 is a yearlong poetry workshop co-led by Fellow Azia Armstead as part of the National Endowment for the Arts' Big Read. Writers will engage with Ross Gay's 2015 collection Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, then write and perform on gratitude, wellness, resilience, reflection, and deep attention.

Internship Highlight:
As an intern, my proudest moments are when mentees' stories are successfully published on the Girls Write Now platform. It warms my heart to support the process of revealing powerful stories to the world, ensuring mentees get the recognition they deserve for their courage, vulnerability, and talent.

With project-based Learning Journeys, passion-oriented Community Studios, and dynamic asynchronous resources, we can't wait for a new year of transformative writing and mentorship!

Open only to currently enrolled mentors and mentees. It's not too late to join as a mentor! Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
