4 Days until CampJS VII !!!

With only 4 days until CampJS we wanted to shoot you a quick email to draw your attention to that you may not already be aware of.

CampJS VII Event Schedule

We announced this online a couple of weeks ago, but in case you missed it here it is again:

http://vii.campjs.com/schedule/

The schedule is also published in Lanyrd so if you do use their mobile app, you should be able to download a copy to your phone also.

Dietary Requirements and Ferry Questionnaire

If you have already bought a ticket, then you should have received an email about this already.

But if you didn't, if you can please complete this questionnaire it would really help us with ensuring everyone gets fed and arrives at the venue.

Alcohol Provided for CampJS VII

Through the help of some generous sponsors there will be a shared cache of beer and cider available. This means that unless you have particular tastes in alcoholic beverage, you will not have to worry about bringing your own alcohol. Also, as per CampJS VI we will have plenty of non-alcoholic beverages available including water, flavoured milk and soft drinks.

At CampJS VI we ran a BYO event as an experiment to see if and how it would change the dynamic of the event. From most observations people noted that BYO didn't really influence how much people drank nor how they behaved. The biggest impact was on the kind of alcohol they consumed, preferring more concentrated forms as it was more portable. Given logistics are a bit more complicated this time (no bus driving past Dan Murphy's) and we have the support of our sponsors alcohol will be provided - just don't drink it all at once!

CampJS Last Chance Tickets

If you've been putting it off for one reason or another, we've decided to extend our LAST CHANCE discount tickets right up until Thursday. We'd really prefer you didn't leave until then though as the the venue really need to know final numbers for catering purposes!

Additionally, we still have some heavily discounted, sponsored tickets available to assist folks attend the weekend who couldn't otherwise.

Questions

As always, if you have any questions feel free to hit either myself up directly (just reply to this email), or join the #campjs channel and ask our vibrant community a question there. If you need an invite to join View Source (the Australian web folks slack channel), you can get one here.

Example Question: Will I be sleeping in a tent?!

Not unless you want to. Broken Bay can accommodate 180 people in dormitory style accommodation, and you only have to look at the photos of the facility to see that it's a pretty nice looking place to spend a weekend!
