First Board member from Northern Ireland
|
|
There were three places available for election to the ABDO Board this year and only three nominations were received. Therefore there will not be a ballot in 2015.
Mr Keith Cavaye and Mr Kevin Milsom are duly re-elected to serve for another three years.
Mrs Gerardine (Geri) Dynan (pictured) joins the Board for the first time replacing Mr Kevin Gutsell who had resigned from the Board. Geri is an ABDO practical examiner and works in a practice in Belfast and is the first Board member from Northern Ireland.

ABDO is delighted to announce the introduction of the first student and supervisor revision zone at its annual conference.
|
|
Running parallel to the main conference, this pilot event will allow students to practice for their Preliminary Qualifying Examinations (PQE) and Final Qualifying Examinations (FQE) under the guiding hand of Alicia Thompson, director of professional examinations and her team of experienced ABDO examiners. Rosemary Bailey will be attending with some of the contact lens examining team to provide revision for contact lens students.

Obtain advice on portfolio completion

Choose to attend only the preferred elements of the revision training

Distance learning tutors required
|
|
ABDO College is looking to recruit a number of distance learning tutors. The course will run from August to December, with a view to taking on your first students in February.
Applicants must have passed the ABDO level 6 ophthalmic dispensing final theory examinations at the first attempt.
