Community-Wide Survey on Future of Turner Field

In 2013, the Atlanta Braves announced plans to relocate to Cobb County, creating an opportunity for the redevelopment of the Turner Field area. The Turner Field Community Benefits Coalition was created to ensure community representation throughout the process of determining Turner Field's future. The Coalition believes that the best way to ensure a positive outcome for residents of the community is to bring them together with one unified purpose and voice.

To that end, the Coalition is conducting a survey to collect the community’s vision for Turner Field. The survey is open to all, but the Survey Team’s efforts will focus on residents living in the neighborhoods of Mechanicsville, Peoplestown, Pittsburgh and Summerhill, as well as a small portion of the Grant Park neighborhood.

Community residents are also invited to serve as members of the Survey Team. Equipped with iPad minis, Survey Team Members will administer the survey to their neighbors. The data collection effort will last for four weeks (October 26th – November 21st) and will help the Coalition better understand the community’s desire for redevelopment.
