Growing Your Audience to Generate More Leads

Capturing and converting leads. Our success as agents depends on accomplishing these goals.

One of the problems we face is the need to constantly replenish new leads after they’ve moved through our pipeline.

An effective solution to acquire a steady stream of leads, is to focus on proactively growing an engaged audience.

Building an engaged audience, rather than just focusing on leads, can generate more clients in the long run, because they spread the word about your personal brand, growing your lead base. An engaged audience creates a residual, lead generating solution.

To start building and engaging your social media audience, utilize a Facebook business page.

Create a Facebook page for your real estate business so that you can begin meeting clients on the site they visit most.  Then, invite your friends and clients to ‘like’ your page to provide an immediate, ground-level base of fans.

Give your audience share-worthy content to extend your reach.

Post content that is relevant and interesting to promote likes, shares, and comments. Fans who socially share your content are like your personal brand ambassadors, endorsing you and creating awareness.

Tell, don’t sell your audience.

Promotional/salesy posts work when they are sprinkled into your content mix, but not when they’re the ‘main ingredient.’ Tell stories through unique, interesting, inspiring, or educational photos and articles. (Tip: Photos get the highest engagement in Facebook’s algorithm and therefore are shown the most, so you’ll want to use photo-laden content.)

Publish on a consistent schedule.

Post a few times a week to stay in front of your audience. Posting consistently gives your audience more opportunities to interact with you and grow your lead base.

Make use of content posting apps that select and automatically post content for you.

Page Engage, from the Real Estate Agent Directory, has social media pros select real estate content for you and post it to your page. Page Engage allows your page to continually be updated with content that engages your fans.

Remember, not all fans will become customers, but EVERY fan can help you grow your lead base and in turn, your customer base.

Taking an audience-growth approach only requires a minor shift in strategy. Engage your audience and start acquiring a multitude of new leads!

Did You Know? Check Your Faceook ‘Other’ Box for Messages

Just as emails can sometimes end up in your spam box, emails on Facebook can sometimes end up in your ‘Other’ box. Facebook filters messages to the ‘Other’ box when you have not yet connected with a user. To ensure you aren’t missing any important messages from prospective clients, you should make it a practice to check your ‘Other’ box often.

To access your ‘Other’ box navigate to your Facebook home page and select the Messages icon. Click on the ‘Other’ tab next to your ‘Inbox’ tab. Never miss a potential lead again!

READ Tip: Use a Facebook business page to market your real estate services

90% of agents are using Facebook in some capacity for their real estate business. It is ideal to set up a Facebook business page to market your real estate services, as opposed to using your personal profile. Here’s why:

- Free and easy to set up in 5 minutes or less
- Socially interact and engage with potential customers on a professional level
- Increases your exposure to a much wider audience of potential fans and leads
- Allows you to add apps that can enhance your page and viewer experience
