We open this Defence Week with a review of ANAO's report into the 'high risks' in Australia's national shipbuilding program. The report specifically highlights the 'extreme risks' of forwarding construction of the Future Frigates to 2020, despite Defence claims to the contrary.
In other news, Christine Zeitz of Leidos reveals her strategy for implementing a flexible workplace, ADM speak to veterans running their own businesses at a Prince's Trust event, Dassault Systémés staff move in at the University of Adelaide, a new aircraft maintenance program opens in WA, Fincantieri finds another local partner ahead of Sea 5000, welding fumes are reclassified as carcinogenic, and some ex-Navy ships are on sale for anyone interested.
Finally, we announced the finalists for the Women in Defence Awards this week - check out the full list here. Tickets for the awards gala are almost sold out, and are now waiting-list only. Please email Jessica Havard for more information.
