When choosing your ads, think about your overall goal.

Do you want to gain page likes, build your personal brand, or perhaps sell a listing? Think about these goals and select ads that will help you accomplish them.

 

Have a specialty? Flaunt it and stand out from the crowd!
If you have a specialty (for example, first-time buyers, luxury homes, or military families), choose ad templates centered around those themes.

 

Have a cohesive ad theme to make a clear, powerful statement.
Ensure your image, headline, and body copy tie together so that your viewers immediately understand your message. You only have a couple seconds to capture viewer’s attention before they move on to the next stimuli, so you want to make sure your ad is clearly communicated.

 

Include a call-to-action that compels people to click on your ad.
Give your viewers a reason to take action then and there. Call-to-actions (CTA) usually appear at the end of an ad. Solid CTAs to use are ‘Click to find out more,’ ‘Contact me today,’ and ‘Schedule a showing.’

 

Run your ads for at least 4 weeks to build frequency, views and clicks.
Ad studies have shown time and time again that a crucial component of ad success is frequency, or the number of times a viewer sees an ad. Often it takes a few views before they click your ad. Running your ads for at least 4 weeks gives them the time needed to build frequency.

 

Try out a few campaigns to see what works and adjust as needed.
