April - Enjoying Spring while Staying Home

The weather is warming up, and it can feel discouraging that outdoor and social activities are limited for the time being. Staying home and appreciating spring while social distancing is possible, and can create great memories with your friends and family even if you aren't in the same space.

I know that times are anxiety ridden and difficult right now, but let spring be a reminder of new beginnings and brighter days ahead. I am here to offer any real estate assistance and advice you need to give you peace of mind, as well as professional knowledge.

Current Market Updates

Windermere's Chief Economist is providing weekly updates with market and economy information every Monday. These updates are a great way to stay informed and make good decisions during this time of uncertainty. If you click here, you will find his latest video segment from April 6th, 2020. Next week his videos will cover conventional mortgages and latest interest rate updates.

If you are looking for resources available to you as a property owner during this time, you can find a list of great online links here, from the Salt Lake Board of Realtors. You can find mortgage information and bank protocols, as well as information on insurance and protecting your credit.

Agents are doing virtual open houses via Facebook and other social media platforms to market and advertise properties. Windermere is only allowing virtual open houses during the pandemic. Any live showings are scheduled so they never overlap and agents are providing wipes, booties, and gloves. Masks are recommended during walk-throughs as well. In Salt Lake County, Real Estate is considered an Essential business but I'm practicing extreme caution when showing properties,  and weighing all the risks and benefits before bringing a property to market.

Here's an example of a virtual tour of one of my listings, 2079 E Sierra Ridge Ct. You can click on the image to view the full tour.

As always, I am here to provide you with information and would love to give you a current analysis of your home if you are interested in having that information. Please contact me if you would like to know more about your home or the current market.

Staying Home in SLC

All this sheltering in place can be inconvenient and hard to stick to! Luckily, we live in a place with lots of local resources for home delivery and ordering online, so you don't have to leave your home! Here are some of my favorite options for sheltering in place while still supporting businesses and accomplishing errands.

1. Vive Juicery Abundance Box: The Abundance box is full of healthy and fresh produce to keep your immunity high and give you lots of choices for the week ahead. They deliver right to your door and you can order online. Click here to preorder your box now.

2. Instacart: Instacart is an easy app to use, and allows you to order your groceries right to your door so you don't have to brave the grocery store. It also limits all contact so you can brag about being the best social-distancer around. Click here to learn more about the Instacart app! (Note - you can go to Smiths - online shopping. Greatest thing about this is you can go in and modify your order if you forget something before delivery! (I'm the queen of placing an order and then realizing I need something else).

3. Wasatch Milk: This local farm is delivering fresh milk, cheese and eggs all around the Salt Lake region. There's no weekly commitment, you can pay online, and you can pay online. You can click here to order.

4. Floral Delivery: Missing a birthday or a big event? Send flowers through local services like Blooms & Co. They will deliver beautiful, fresh arrangements right to your door. You can order flowers here.

5. Crafts/ Things to Do: Looking for DIY crafts and projects to do? Order them from Craft Lake City, a local non-profit that serves SLC and local artists. From paper flower arrangements to cement planters, there are lots of projects your whole family can be involved in. You can find them here.
