Important dates next week...Monday 8th May Tuesday 9th May Wednesday 10th May Friday 12th May Letters out this week...Five 'old boys' who developed a love of Rugby at Gayhurst have gone on to play representative rugby recently. Four were selected to play for their Academy Teams in the RFU Under 16 Festival of Rugby on a 6 day residential at Wellington College over Easter; Josh for Saracens, Hugo for London Irish, Aaron and Matvey for Wasps. In addition Robbie played in a Lambs side a few weeks ago. Coincidently, the five boys were all in the same year group during their time here and Gayhurst School is very proud to have given them their first taste of rugby. We are taking part in a 'Fun Run' at Bulstrode Park, next to the Bull Hotel, in conjunction with School Aid. This will take place on Sunday 2nd of July. The race covers a 5km course. The day will consist of an Inter-schools running competition from Year 3 to 8 and then a 5km fun run with a dress-up theme of 'safari'. Please put this date in your calendar! Gayhurst will be entering teams in all categories. No need to worry if you aren't selected for a school team - you can still take part in the fun run!! The start time for the inter-schools competition is 10:00 and the fun run at 10:30. This is a fantastic run with all money going to a worthy cause. Entry for the fun run goes live on the 1st April on 'The School Run' website. |
