Willis discusses their debut book, The Space Between Men, their personal journey, and the life-saving power of poetry. Stories Without Borders Short Story Contest

As part of our partnership with Storyshares, we are proud to present an opportunity exclusive to Girls Write Now mentees and members. Storyshares is seeking short stories intended for readers who are in middle school, high school, or older, written at a first- to fifth-grade reading level. Content (topic, characters, plot) should be mature and intriguing for ages 10+. Your challenge is to write an engaging short story that celebrates multicultural and multilingual storytelling.

FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

A Public Space

Editorial Fellowship

Established in 2019, this fellowship is a unique opportunity for aspiring editors to gain experience in editing and independent publishing. Fellows have the opportunity to oversee an open call and serve as the lead editor on a piece for the magazine. A Public Space will offer two editorial fellowships this year as a 6-month program (June-November), approximately 15 hours weekly.
