September Competition Deadlines

All of the items below are due on September 13, 11:59 PM EDT.

1. Track Selection Freeze

Track selection is important as it directly impacts the Giant Jamboree presentation schedule, as well as the awards that will be given out on Monday during the Giant Jamboree. You can make your track selection on your Team Profile Page.

Calendar - September 13

2. Project Title and Abstract Due

Your team project title and abstract is important for your team's Judging Form. You need to add your title and abstract to your Team Profile Page, which will be automatically copied over to your Judging Form. It's the first item about your project that your Judges will see upon viewing your Judging Form, so make sure to submit it on time! Your project title and abstract will also be included in the Guidebook App for the Giant Jamboree and will be posted online for everyone to view prior to the Giant Jamboree.

3. Final Team Rosters Due

The team roster is used to print participation certificates, and determine section for collegiate teams. Be sure to review your team rosters and make sure they are up-to-date well before the deadline!
Note: High school team members must submit participant consent forms and click on the link in the verification email to be added to their roster. The full name and username must match your account on iGEM.org for the consent form to be processed.

4.  Final Safety Forms Due

Your Safety Form must be completed and submitted by one of the team's PIs by September 13, 11:59PM EDT. Failure to fill out the Safety Form by the deadline is serious, and can lead to disqualification from the competition.

Try to finalize the content of the form as early as possible, and don't wait until the last moment to ask your PI to sign it off! If in doubt, email the safety committee as early as possible with your questions: safety [AT] igem [DOT] org.
