Lend Your Voice TIANS has reached out to our Nova Scotia MP’s in support of a Federal Tourism Tax Credit. The implementation of a $2000 tax credit would have an immediate and significant impact on the recovery of Canada’s Tourism Industry. Supporting Nova Scotia's Tourism Industry Clean It Right is a new training program provided through TIANS to provide awareness and education on cleaning your establishment with the goal of regaining consumer confidence. The program, being launched next week, has been designed to increase the safety of guests, visitors and the workforce in the Tourism industry. This will help reassure customers that may be hesitant to travel, shop and eat out during the post COVID-19 period. Atlantic Bubble Burst The Council of Atlantic Premiers announced travel restrictions in Atlantic Canada will be eased as COVID-19 case numbers remain low in each province. Interprovincial travel within Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador, without the requirement to self-isolate for Atlantic Canadian residents, will be permitted beginning Friday, July 3 2020 Marketing Campaign Tourism Nova Scotia’s marketing strategy for 2020 is focused on driving as much tourism recovery as possible following the COVID-19 pandemic. They have shifted their focus to regional markets that currently have access to the province and will continue to expand marketing efforts as other key markets reopen. |
