Queer as Fiction: Kiss and Tales

Curated By Editor-in-Residence Morayo Faleyimu

In our Pride 2023 Collection "Queer as Fiction: Kiss and Tales", our writers explore the heady first days of love. From a stolen glance on a New York City subway to a school day meet-cute, these tales embrace queerness and connection without hesitation.

IN OUR MENTEES' WORDS

Regardless of who you are, Girls Write Now offers something for everyone.

"Thanks to the Girls Write Now community, I've had the pleasure of meeting some truly outstanding writers! I've had the privilege of participating in two programs (Writing 360 and Career 360) and my mentors in both have been nothing short of amazing. My writing has improved significantly since joining, and I've been able to push myself in ways I didn't think were possible. The encouragement and support is truly off the charts!"

IN OUR MENTORS' WORDS

Being part of this brilliant, inclusive, creative community has helped me to spread my own wings as a mentor and a writer.

Stepping into the role of writing mentor at Girls Write Now has been a truly uplifting and rewarding experience. Sharing my time, guidance, and passion for storytelling with my mentee has enriched my life in more ways than I could have imagined. Witnessing my mentee's growth-filled journey has been a highlight for me this year! Girls Write Now has provided an unparalleled platform with support, tools, resources, and open communication. It's been a collaborative, inspiring, joyful ride and I feel lucky to be part of something so special!
