MESSAGESA MESSAGE FROM DAMIEN LAFOREST Thanks to our preparation team, who have been putting in a massive effort by turning around our cranes so quickly and at such a high standard. Too many names to mention but the team knows who they are and should be extremely proud of the end product. As many of the team leaders will be finding out, Tracey has commenced with Reds Global, taking over from Kylie. Kylie has needed to leave to become a mum so we all wish her the very best. Tracey will be calling all the team leaders each week to check in with any requests, support needed or PPE required. This touchpoint was raised in the last consultative committee meeting as being missed so we are responding. Sales team has been converting recently so we look forward to commencing more projects with Parkview at Granville and Bondi, Built in CBD, Hutchisons at Eastern Creek, Wynyard Station and Epping. Hopefully there will be some more to add to the list by next months newsletter. We find that issuing safety alerts via Employment Hero is the best method of communication. Please act swiftly when these alerts are received by acknowledging them and avoiding a reminder to do so. The most recent alert highlights the need for crane crew to call on contacts such as Ben, James, Michael or even myself if the site teams are not responding to safety issues and further support is needed. You are not alone and as a team we will reach a better outcome together. Most people would have come across Rik at some point on servicing. Rik is our Head Technician and is now dedicating some of his time managing the service team. Many drivers go direct to Rik when problems occur so instead of fighting this trend we have chosen to embrace it. If your encountering problems the lines of contact are: 1. Ring 1300 944 381 and select "Maintenance" 2. Ring Kyle on 0419 978 903 3. Ring Rik directly on 0448 101 223 If for some reason you still are struggling to make contact, you can call me and I will pull the resources needed. My mobile is 0407 727 016 Lastly and most importantly, YOU are the face of Reds Global. Keep safe, make smart choices and represent our company with pride #FirstChoice Cheers.

A MESSAGE FROM MICHAEL LOUIS - HSEQ MANAGER SAFETY SPOTLIGHT Lifting Gear All lifting gear is to be maintained and visually inspected prior to use, formally inspected by a competent person and recorded on the site register. Rigging boxes are to include a lifting gear register which is to be completed daily and submitted weekly. - Do not keep old/untagged/out os service items in the site box - Do not allow other contractors to store lifting equipment in Reds Global's site box Lifting / Non-lifting Zones All crane crew must know the locations of non-lifting, restricted lifting, and restricted slewing zones. You cannot function safely unless you understand the zones and limitations around the those zones. Communication must occur with the builder and other contractors. Be aware of all overhead services and plant working in the vicinity of the tower crane. Look out especially for power lines and maintain required distances, boom pumps, jump forms and EWP's etc. Safe Lifting Practices: - Know the weight of your load - Visually check you chains, slings and other rigging gear - Chains should be used on all structural steel - Select the right sling for the job. don't take shortcuts - Know the SWL of your chains, never exceed this - All bins to be lifted by the four (4) lugs provided - Work boxes must be connected directly to the main hook - Personnel are not to enter or exit the work box when elevated - First aid cages are to be connected directly to the main hook - Check the centre of gravity / balance points of loads - Always use non-conductive tag lines to control loads with correct length for task OPERATOR HANDOVERS In order to ensure our operators are fully aware of the intricacies of the cranes they operate, each Reds Global Operator must complete a Crane Handover Familiarisation. This familiarisation will provide the operator with an overview of the cranes operations and must be completed prior to operating the crane. In the circumstance that a client/builder is operating a Reds Global crane, we must ensure they also complete the handover as part of the process. If you have any questions regarding this please contact James Moriarty or Ben Abas.
