Studio to reopen on Monday

Dust off your dance shoes, we'll be reopening the doors to our studio from next Monday! It's clear from the messages we've received that, like us, you were hugely excited yesterday when the Prime Minister announced businesses like ours would finally be able to open up under COVID-19 Alert Level 2. We know you're keen to hit the dance floor, but we want you to be safe. So we're taking an extra few days to ensure we've got everything ready to go next week.  

Limit to class sizes

After checking Government regulations today it's become obvious we can only have groups of 10 people inside the studio at any time. So we're asking all our dancers to email us by the end of Thursday to advise if you intend coming back to class under Alert Level 2. This will allow time over Friday and Saturday for us to look at the numbers and potentially adjust our timetable to accommodate you all.

Here's what classes will look like

• In line with Government regulations, classes will be restricted to 10 dancers.
• We'll limit the number of dancers on the floor at any time to ensure a 1-2 metre distance can be maintained between each of you.
• Unless you're a couple, or you're in a regular dance partnership, you'll be dancing as individuals. You'll still be getting great exercise and learning the steps, and you'll be developing and improving your balance. 
• We'll reduce class times to 45 minutes. This will give you 5 minutes to leave at the conclusion of your class, enable us 5 minutes to clean touchpoints, and then provide 5 minutes for the next class to enter and get their dance shoes on.
• We'll remove chairs to ensure 1-2 metre physical distancing in the social seating area.

Here's how you can help

• While we'd love to see you, please stay at home if you're feeling unwell and give yourself time to beat those bugs.  
• The Prime Minister said it in her press conference yesterday - wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands. We have alcohol-based hand sanitiser beside the drinking fountain in the studio, and there's plenty of soap in both bathrooms for you to use.
