Good morning, everyone! Happy April! I hope you're staying inside happy and healthy with your family! I also hope you had a great Passover and/or Palm Sunday! Easter is coming and many of us forgot SOME of the preparations. I was talking to my beautiful bride about it yesterday and we both went, "where are the Easter baskets? What about candy? Does Aubrey still believe in the Easter Bunny????" All very important questions... It turns out the Easter baskets have disappeared. Hopefully people aren't hoarding THOSE. Candy is still available a-plenty, and "no," Aubrey doesn't believe in the Easter Bunny anymore. That's sad. It probably means Santa Claus is out this year as well, and our littlest girl isn't so little anymore! When my friends said their kids grow up fast, they
aren't kidding! I wonder if we'll still have the Elves popping up around the house around Christmas? We shall see!
As for work, well, we've seen a lot of Coronavirus related lawsuits get filed recently. We have billion-dollar healthcare corporations who literally charge $15 for a tablet of Tylenol or $39.95 for a new father to hold his baby but don't have enough money to buy protective gear for their ER nurses and staff. Yes, it's marked up, but it's out there, and since the hospital is going to charge us whatever they want, I'm sure they can afford it. Pretty darn sad. Take care of our doctors, nurses and staff, mega-corps! We're a small company but even WE kicked in a small cash bonus for every employee to buy coronavirus supplies so they're protected.
OK, on to more lawsuit and settlement updates!
That's all for now! I hope you're quarantining successfully, my friends! For those of you who are out of work, I hope you're able to find work soon. This is a terribly tough time for everyone, and if you're a business owner and haven't already submitted your application for your help from the SBA, get on it! There's no way the cash won't run out. I just hope the money goes to small businesses to keep them open and keep people employed.
I'm off to walk the dog and get some sunshine with my beautiful bride! Make it a GREAT week!
Warm Regards,
