Exercise program targeting depression/ anxiety - Free places available!
Mood Active (group exercise classes for people diagnosed with a mood disorder) has a limited number of free places in its eight-week exercise program. Available on GP or psychologist referral, to financially disadvantaged patients - must be residents of the City of Randwick. Since 2013, the Mood Active program has helped people struggling with a range of mood disorders (depression/ anxiety, bi-polar, post-natal) as well as social phobia and PTSD, boost their mental health through regular exercise. The aim of the program is to get people exercising regularly, and to help each participant build it into their own long-term mental health and wellbeing strategy. Please see flyer for details of our class locations and funded places (available November - December 2016). Program information is available on the Mood Active website. For more information contact Cameron Wilson on 0405 262053.

As of 1 January 2017, Rockdale Women's Health Clinic will transition to a general practice outreach model. The SLHD Clinical Redesign Project Team ‘PC-ace’ invites general practitioners to participate in a quick survey. The PC-ace project aim is to improve access, choice and equity in palliative care to all SLHD patients and their loved ones. The information you provide will be used to identify broad themes and issues to be addressed as part of the project. Click here to complete the survey. Updates and changes to MBS Items beginning 1 November 2016 are now available
Click here for a summary of changes to MBS items coming into effect today, 1 November 2016. Click here
for the full version of the Medicare Benefits Schedule Book – 1 November 2016. See pages 18 and 19 for a summary and the full version book will have extended explanations of item numbers. Some changes impact item numbers for skin services. These changes are the result of the Skin Services Review and were supported by the MSAC in November 2015. The review considered current skin excision items 31200-31335 (excluding items 31245 and 31250), the biopsy item 30071 and the flap items 45000, 45003 and 45200-45207.
These items have been restructured to reflect best clinical practice and to simplify the schedule by reducing the number of items. The changes include: - a restructure of 48 current skin excision items to 21 new skin excision items
- the
creation of two more restricted items for flap repair and the amendment of items 45000, 45003 and 45200-45207 to prevent their use for closure of skin cancer excisions
- the creation of five new items for the biopsy or excision of lesions from mucous membranes
- two item amendments to separate the biopsy or excision of lesions of mucous membranes from two existing items and
- an amendment to item 31340 to reflect the new arrangements.
CESPHN health service directory
Looking for a health professional that speaks a particular language or works in a particular area? Our health service directory can help. The directory allows individuals to search for general practitioners, allied health professionals and medical specialists working in the CESPHN region. The advanced search function also allows you to filter results by postcode, special interests, gender and language spoken. This allows individuals to find health professionals in their local area that meet their relevant needs. The directory can be accessed from the homepage of our website. Not listed on the directory and would like to be? Get in touch with our Infrastructure Team on 9799 0933 or email info@cesphn.com.au
