Visit one of our Adelaide Hills libraries to collect a children’s Summer Reading Club pack, complete the Book Bingo activity sheet and return it to one of our branches to collect an instant reward. Every completed Bingo Card goes into a draw for even more rewards. Once again the Friends of the Library, Stirling have donated a number of book vouchers for winners of the draw. One lucky reader will win a family zoo membership to Adelaide and Monarto Zoo which also includes most major interstate zoos. The challenge continues across the school holidays. Early childhood programs break Coventry Library, Stirling Storytime resumes on 17 January 2019. Sensory Storytime resumes on 8 February 2019. Woodside Library School holiday program Bookings for our January school holiday are open. There will be something for everyone including retro arcade games, weaving, robots, large format games, outdoor table tennis, and movies. Visit the library website to view the program and book online. Thank you! Thank you to everyone who so kindly donated to the Smith Family’s Give the Gift of Reading program. Your donations ensured we had books for children of all ages. Your generosity provided 300 books for us to add to the state wide collection which was then distributed to children across South Australia who might not otherwise have the chance to enjoy the wonder of owning and reading their very own book. Fresh Summer ReadsOur Fresh Summer Reads are back They’ll be available at all branches until the end of January. With the assistance of our Friends of the Library we’ve purchased over 400 new books ranging across genres. To allow as many people as possible to enjoy the new titles up to 3 items per card can be borrowed for a 2 week loan period. They cannot be reserved. Enjoy the new titles! Fun on the library lawnWe’ve invested in a fun range of sporting equipment available for use on the Coventry Library lawn. Look for the green bin in the foyer to access cricket and bocce sets, football, volleyball, grip ball set, skipping ropes, hula hoops and quoit set. And don’t miss the giant chess set available in the library! Photography ExhibitThe Blackwood Photographic Club is exhibiting a collection of their work at the Coventry Library, Stirling. The display will run between December 17 and January 6. The Exhibition includes the Club’s best work from the past twelve months and covers a wide range of subjects. Book SaleSupport the Friends of the Library, Stirling. They are holding their first book sale for the year on the weekend of January 19 and 20 outside the Coventry Library. There will be a great range of adult, teen and children's books to choose from. New Stops for the Mobile LibraryThe Mobile Library will be off the road as of Friday 21 December and returning on Tuesday 22 January. We’ve added two new stops - Cudlee Creek and Charleston - to the schedule for 2019. Check the Mobile Library timetable for information on these and all mobile stops. Library and council customer service seasonal hours Justice of the Peace Our Justice of the Peace Services will not be available after Thursday 20 December 2018 as they take a well-earned festive break.
