Celebrate Culture Days Weekend at your Library
The Guelph Public Library is pleased to be included in this year’s Culture Days weekend, September 28 to 30, 2018. This weekend features thousands of free, hands-on, interactive activities across Canada where the public can discover the world of artists, creators, heritage experts, designers and other creative professionals in their community. The library strives to provide ways for people to explore their world, enrich their lives and connect with their community. Please join us for the following Culture Days 2018 library events:

This is an all ages, rain or shine, community event you do not want to miss! Co-Living Communities
Co-operative housing is not new, but it’s trending again for many people who are 55 years and older. Co-living, whether for seniors or others, provides a supportive community to age in place – offering a way to live privately while recognizing the mental and emotional benefits of an interdependent space. Oak Hill Co-Living residents will share their experiences with establishing their alternative and affordable co-ownership community in Rockwood. Join us for Co-living Communities on Thursday, September 20 from 2 to 3:30 p.m in the Board Room of the Main Library.
The program is free but space is limited, so please register early, or ask staff for help at any library location.
Donor Spotlight: The Holocaust Survivor Memoirs
The Guelph Public Library recently received a large donation of books from The Azrieli Series of Holocaust Survivor Memoirs. Each survivor of the Holocaust has a remarkable story to tell. These books play an important role in education about tolerance and diversity. Search the library's catalogue using the keyword Azrieli series and check out these vital works of literature!
