A MESSAGE FROM SCOTT HARDY

Good morning, everyone! Here we are at the end of March, the end of a crazy first quarter for all of us! I was speaking with my friends in Nova Scotia and they are in the same boat as us in Arizona. We're getting more coronavirus diagnoses every day but we're not in a hotbed like New York. I hope you and your family are staying inside and healthy! We are!

Thankfully, we're blessed with great weather. In fact, it's already getting "hot." It'll be in the high 80's this week (30 degrees Celsius.) That's still nice but it's a big warning for Arizonans. That means it'll be 115 degrees (46 degrees Celsius) in NO time! So, we're getting outside while we can. In a few short months, being outside means being in the pool or melting. No in between, LOL! Heck, it'll be too hot to walk the dog during the day. Their little paws literally burn on the sidewalk, so you better hope you have grass, or plenty of shade, so they can do their business!

I've been asked, "Scott, why are you still helping law firms file cases right now? It's a PANDEMIC!" Simple, actually—it's the statute of limitations, which varies by Province. This means that if you have a valid complaint and the lawyers we work with agree to file a case for you, it has to be filed within two years (Alberta, Ontario and Saskatchewan), three years (Quebec) or six years (British Columbia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick) of the allegation occurring. If you file AFTER that date, your case will likely get thrown out. So that means your lawyer needs to file the case as soon as possible. Of course, many courts are "closed" but cases are still able to be filed online, and your lawyers understand the defendants may not be able to reply swiftly so they're allowing defendants to reply within 60 or 90 days. That way your need is taken care of and your case won't get thrown out due to a technicality, which happens WAY TOO OFTEN.

I hope that helps explain things a bit! We are here for you! You can email questions@ca.topclassactions.com and we'll get back to you within two business days (usually just one.) Let us know what we can help you with!
