ADM's 16th annual Congress took place in Canberra this week, attracting over 500 delegates from across the country to hear speakers including Minister for Defence Christopher Pyne, Minister for Defence Industry Steven Ciobo, Shadow Minister for Defence Richard Marles, VCDF Vice Admiral David Johnston, Chief of Army LTGEN Rick Burr, Chief of Navy VADM Michael Noonan, CASG head Tony Fraser, and many more. Congress also saw finalists announced for this year's Essington Lewis awards and the launch of the second Women in Defence Awards (WIDA).
In other news, a report highlights the risk of a cyber 'blitzkrieg', Canberra-based SME Eggler Tech Training wins a US Marine Corps contract, the B-52 Stratofortress is set to make its NZ debut, Myriota signs Tyvak for nanosatellite development and launches, Naval Group and Centrale Nantes print the first hollow propeller blade using metal additive manufacturing, and UC and MSVS extend a skilling agreement.
