Senior Classics Visit

The visit to the Eternal City will endure in the memory of all those who took part for many years to come.  Our jam-packed schedule allowed us to experience all the major tourist attractions Rome has to offer.  We visited incredible sites such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Vatican (with the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Square), the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps.  There was a wonderfully friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the group throughout the whole visit which proved to be an educational and unique experience.

Form 2 Ski Trip

On Monday 17 February pupils from Form 2 started the journey to Andorra.  After a two-hour bus ride we arrived.  First we dropped off our bags and then we went to get our ski equipment. The following day we ready to start skiing.  We skied for four days and ended each evening with fun activities such as a visit to a spa, bowling, a fun table quiz, and shopping.  Before we knew it Saturday had arrived and it was time to leave.  A huge thanks to all the teachers and adults who went with us and organised this tour. We are all so thankful to have been chosen as it was the experience of a lifetime.

Ireland U18 and U16 Representatives

Congratulations to our Ireland hockey internationals who played in a series of tournaments against England at Lilleshall in Shropshire last week.  Evan Jennings represented The High School and Leinster on the Ireland U18 team while Ella and Ben Pasley played on the Ireland U16 hockey teams.   We wish our international hockey players every success in future competitions.

Focus Ireland

During the week The High School presented a cheque for €700 to Focus Ireland with the money they raised at the Christmas Market. Pupils sold crafts and delicious bakes, and devised fun games to raise funds for the charity. Congratulations to all of the pupils and staff who were involved in the fundraising.

Shrove Tuesday

Form 1 pupils made delicious pancakes in Home Economics class this week in time for Shrove Tuesday. Well done, everyone!
