It’s one of the best days on the Mary Baldwin College campus: classes are canceled; dozens of students pitch in to help others; and dishes for a festive brunch simmer, bake, and braise in the Hunt kitchen. Apple Day will be held on October 6.  Read more >>

 

Prominent Attorney to Speak on Campus

Pamela J. Meanes, who guided the National Bar Association through the tumultuous aftermath of the deadly shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, will speak at Mary Baldwin College in observance of the 20th anniversary of the Black Student Alliance. The lecture — free and open to the public — will be held at 7 p.m. October 26 in James D. Francis Auditorium. Read more >>

Heifetz Musicians to Appear on Campus

The concert program, “Baroque, Classical, and Rococo,” includes Baroque-era favorites by Bach and Handel, Tchaikovsky’s virtuosic “Rococo Variations,” for cello and piano, and a complete performance of Beethoven’s masterful “Archduke” Piano Trio. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. October 8 in Francis Auditorium in Pearce Science Center.  Read more >>
